Terms of sale

The seller is Tommi Sundqvist, the author of the book. Questions about an order, a download or these terms go to nakedgut@gmail.com. The site is built and maintained by Aalto Visuals on the author’s behalf.

One product: The Naked Gut eBook as a PDF file — the same full-colour book, about 6 MB, readable on a phone, tablet or computer with any PDF reader.

No physical products are sold on this site. The paperback edition is sold by Amazon under Amazon’s own terms, and this site only links to it. Any future products — an audiobook, further books or extra material — are not on sale until they appear on this page and in the shop.

The price shown at checkout is the total you pay. If tax has to be added, Stripe shows it before you confirm the payment, and the receipt itemises it. Prices on Amazon are set by Amazon and can differ from the price here.

• You open the checkout on this page. The payment form inside it is run by Stripe, the payment provider.
• Before you can pay, you tick a required box in that form: you ask for the eBook to be delivered immediately, you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has started (your download link is ready) and this has been confirmed to you by email, and you accept these terms and the refund policy.
• You pay. When Stripe confirms the payment, the order is complete and your personal download link is shown on the thank-you page. If your payment method takes a moment to confirm, the thank-you page says so and shows the link once it has.

The contract between you and the author is formed when the payment is confirmed. If the payment fails or is cancelled, no contract is formed and nothing is charged.

Payments are processed by Stripe in the payment form embedded on this page. Card details are typed into Stripe’s form and never reach this site, which stores the order and payment references, the payment status, the amount, the currency, the country Stripe reports, your email address and how often your download link was used. See the privacy statement.

Delivery is immediate: it begins when your download link is ready on the thank-you page. The book is not sent by email. The link is personal to your order and stays valid for 7 days. Each order allows up to 50 downloads in total, counted across every link issued for it — a limit that is there to stop links being shared, not to limit normal use. Save the file somewhere safe once you have it.

If the link expires before you managed to download the book, or the download fails, write to nakedgut@gmail.com and a new link will be issued at no cost.

If the payment is disputed with your card issuer (a chargeback), downloads are paused while the dispute is open, and they stay off if the payment is reversed. If the dispute is resolved in the seller’s favour, the download works again.

A distance purchase normally comes with a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content delivered at once, the right ends when delivery begins, provided three things are true: you expressly asked for immediate delivery, you acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, and that request and acknowledgement were confirmed to you by email. At checkout you do the first two in a required tick box, and delivery begins as soon as your download link is ready on the thank-you page.

Once all three are true, you can no longer withdraw from the purchase. If you have not received the confirmation by email, you can still withdraw within 14 days of your purchase, even after downloading the book: write to nakedgut@gmail.com.

As a voluntary promise on top of the law: if you change your mind within 14 days of your purchase and the order shows no downloads, write to nakedgut@gmail.com and you get a full refund.

None of this takes away your statutory rights if something is wrong with the product. The full policy, including the cases where you always get your money back, is on the refunds page.

The book is yours to read, on as many of your own devices as you like, for as long as you like. The copyright stays with the author: the file may not be resold, shared publicly, uploaded to file services or distributed as your own. If you want to use an extract — in an article, a talk or a course — ask at nakedgut@gmail.com and permission is usually given.

The book is a personal story, published for general information and inspiration. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional healthcare. Never stop or change a prescribed treatment on your own — decide together with your doctor.

If the file is faulty, does not open, or is not what was described, you are entitled to have it put right or to get your money back. Write to nakedgut@gmail.com with the email address you used for the purchase and a description of the problem; you will have an answer within five working days.

Consumers in Finland can also contact the Consumer Advisory Service (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi) and, if the matter is not resolved, the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta.fi).

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you buy as a consumer from another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply.

The date at the top shows when these terms were last changed. The version in force at the moment of your order is the one that applies to it, and the version you agreed to is recorded with your order.
